I've made a small app that uses 3d tools to render a small web browser on a simple plane mesh the controls on the mesh are a frame a text box and a button but there is something wrong when i actually open a Url the actual http doesn't get rendered in the frame but in some sort of floating window
dose any one know how i can fix this.

Unfortunately, the Frame control doesn't work on 3D (WPF is doing HWND hosting for this), so you won't be able to see your web browser in 3D.

Any alternatives ?
Or do i just have to translate the whole thing to a flow document or something(that sux :( )

The main issue is that you can't display the Frame on a VisualBrush, meaning even without the interactive part, you wouldn't be able to host it on 3D. But to display it, yeah, you'd need to translate it to something that can be displayed on a VisualBrush, like a flow document, etc...

I meet the same problem. I tryed to make RenderTransform group on my frame on order to rotate, screw, translate etc but there no real effect.

Will there be a solution to integrate Frame browser in 3D decorator ?

Hi, The very excellent WPF Unleashed book says:

HTML content is always rendered on top of WPF content, it can’t have bitmap effects applied to it, its Opacity can’t be changed, and so on.

If you require the ability to display HTML embedded as a resource, the best option is to use the Windows Forms WebBrowser...

- Shame, I would REALLY like this feature also... I will look into the alternatives the webBrowser can provide.

I am going to translate my (volumous) stuff to flow documents, I believe, after much failing to do any better...

these tools may ease your dissapointment and pain... and

some chat about it:

if you do write a batch or realtime converter... share the wealth on codeplex...
